Don't Get Weak on the Weekend!

“Ugh I totally cheated over the weekend”

This is a phrase I hear almost every Monday morning. But, luckily for us, it’s something that can easily be changed. If you’re one of those girls who feels that Monday morning regret, read this post for some tips on how to feel pumped and energetic on Monday morning, not weighed down by pizza, beer, and your time on the couch.

How to Stay Committed During the Weekend:

  1. Make a plan - on Friday morning, review your calendar for the weekend. If you know that you’re going to a softball game on Saturday night where you know you’re going to want to splurge on a hotdog (I’m not judging you), plan your workout Saturday morning and eat clean during the day.

  2. Do your workout first thing in the morning - even if you have a plan going into the weekend, weekends are fun because they are full of spontaneity! An easy way to prevent getting overwhelmed with your weekend to-do list is to workout first thing in the morning. This will not only speed up your metabolism for the day, but it will also free up the rest of the day for BBQs, running errands, etc.

  3. Make your workouts social - a social outing and a workout? This will kill two birds with one stone! Sign up for a workout class with a friend, play volleyball, hike, run, swim, you name it! The key here is to keep it interesting so you don’t feel like you’re wasting your weekend. Try something new like paddle boarding, cycling, surfing. 4. Don’t go to a party hungry - party food is dangerous. Avoid those unnecessary party food calories like potato chips and cookies by eating right beforehand.
